Stewardship – a way to celebrate our gifts, a way to thank God for the gifts we received from Him. The Diocese website includes a Resource Center with valuable information. The Stewardship Committee makes great use of the information provided. If you are not aware – please follow the link. It can also help you, as you embark and continue on the Stewardship journey:
Ministry Mission Statement:
To further the mission of our Parish Community by fostering an awareness of God’s abundant blessings in the gifts He has given each of us; encouraging and enabling parishioners to respond to God by freely sharing their gifts of time, talent and treasure.
Goals and Status:
New Member Welcome Celebration
In partnership with the Membership Committee, have welcomed over 90 (?) new members into the Cathedral Community family. We are so very fortunate to have them with us and so value the gifts they share with us.
Increase Stewardship Committee “Membership”
Focus continues on engaging new members within our Committee. We welcome the sharing of time and talent.
Cathedral Community Census
A major is undertaking to complete the Cathedral Community Census. With the great help of the members of the Membership Committee and the Cathedral staff – this will soon conclude. This is a very vital step in understanding the ongoing needs of our parish. Thank you to the members of the Cathedral Community who responded to our request to complete their census!
Update Ministry Guide
Work will begin to make this available electronically!
Foster relationship with other Committees/Ministries to understand committee/ministries needs
The Stewardship and Membership Committees collaborated during 2011-2012. As the two newest committees of the Cathedral Community – we were able to help each other get established and deliver to both of our goals! It was a great success!
To be finalized at the next meeting.
